There are some out there who believe that a trip to Las Vegas has lost some of its appeal due to the general spread of gambling and casino activities to other places and modes. And to be sure, there are now just about infinite ways to enjoy your favorite gambling activities not only outside of Las Vegas, but in the comfort of your own home. These include playing games with your buddies (of course) along with taking to the world of online gaming.
On the average smartphone, users can now download games from an entire category of casino apps, providing carefree entertainment in the form of games like blackjack and slots. Betfair, for example, gives users the option of gaming through their phones through a free-to-download app. It provides the chance to get into arcade games, engage in live blackjack and poker games with fellow gamblers, or simply place bets on sporting events.
However, what you lose when you turn to virtual gaming, instead of Las Vegas, is all of the activity surrounding the casinos—most notably, the incredible nightlife in “Sin City.” Whether or not you believe that the future of casino gaming is online, there’s no substitute for the world class nightlife of this brightly lit city. So if you’re considering visiting Vegas soon then here are my top 5 picks for dancing, drinking and partying the night away.
Located on top of the Palms Resort some 55 floors above the Strip, this is a small but lively club made unique simply by its views. You can find a wilder time in Vegas, but if atmosphere is your thing, it’s hard to beat Ghostbar.
One of the newer clubs, located at the Aria Resort, Haze is designed to evoke its own name. Light shows, loud music, and a massive, vaguely fantastical atmosphere let visitors lose themselves completely in the experience.
3. Body English
If you’re looking for something that feels a bit more exclusive, this club at the Hard Rock Hotel is an excellent choice. The decor and layout are almost resemble an old-school European concert hall. The upstairs balcony is set for bar talk and the main floor is for booths and dancing.
This Asian-themed club at the Venetian resort has been at the top of lists like these for some time now. It’s a great destination for anyone who especially enjoys the club scene with massive crowds. It also has a great Asian restaurant too.
Top Tip: If you have dinner at the restaurant ask your server for a stamp which will give free entry into the club.
1. XS Nightclub
This is simply as good as it gets. The aptly titled XS club (get it?) boasts a beautiful layout, live performances from celebrity artists, and an enormous dance floor—and that’s just the beginning. Throw in outdoor gambling and a constant pool party, and it’s then that you’ll start to understand the reputation of XS.
