So just recently I wrote a post about my collection of Travel books and guides and I promised I would share my all time favourite photo book.
Australia Images of a timeless land by Peter Lik is a book I pick up again and again. I am in awe of the pictures this man has taken.
During my first round the world trip ten years ago I stumbled across his gallery in Cairns and fell in love with his photography so much that I bought this book.
I was almost tempted to part with some savings for a framed print to ship home but decided against it. Years later I ended up in Peter Lik’s Key West gallery only to find that same print for sale at a price of hundreds of thousands of $US dollars! How I wish I had bought it all those years ago.
Peter Lik has won countless awards and captured some truly epic scenes from around the world. For me his photos sum up everything I love about travelling and If you have never heard of Peter Lik before then I hope you enjoy his photos as much as I do.
